Aurus Speciality Company Limited (Aurus) is a niche specialty chemical company, promoted by Mr.Aloke Lohia in 1989. It was Mr. Aloke Lohia’s first venture in Thailand. Mr. Aloke Lohia is well known globally as Group CEO of Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited (IVL). IVL - a global manufacturing company (in polymers) is listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand with annual turnover of over USD 6.0 billion.

Aurus, earlier known as Indorama Chemicals Ltd, is an independent company manufacturing Furfural and Furfuryl alcohol from agricultural waste - corncob. The factory is located in Saraburi, 120 km from Bangkok.

Mr.Lohia has lived in Thailand for over 20 years during which time he has founded Indorama Ventures as global Polyester Value Chain Company. Mr. Lohia started Thailand’s first PET business (Indorama Polymers) in 1995 and listed the company on Thai stock exchange in 2005. Indorama Polymer became the largest PET polymers company in the world by 2010. In February 2010, Mr. Lohia delisted Indorama Polymers and simultaneously listed its parent company Indorama Ventures on the Stock Exchange of Thailand.

Indorama Venture's consolidated revenues at the end of 2012 were USD 6.78 Billion.
